Professor R. T. Rockafellar

On account of his outstanding contributions to the development of mathematics, and his important collaboration with the chilean mathematical community, Universidad de Chile will deliver its highest distinction of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor R.T. Rockafellar.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday December 15th, 12:00-14:00 hrs, at Salón Gorbea, Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas de la Universidad de Chile (ICT Building, Level 3, Beauchef 850, Santiago).

The program of the ceremony includes a presentation, a plenary talk by Professor Rockafellar, and some words by the President of the University, Professor Luís Riveros.

After the ceremony all attendants are invited to a celebration cocktail at ICT Building (Level -1).
