La Revista
de Matemáticas Aplicadas es la continuación de la
revista Sigma, que el Departamento de Ingeniería Matemática
de la Universidad de Chile editó ininterrumpidamente entre
1975 y 1982. En el período 1983-1986 se organizó el
cambio de nivel de la revista dotándola de un Comité
Editorial de jerarquía internacional. Desde Octubre de 1987,
en que apareció el volumen 9 número 1, se han editado
los volúmenes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19,
20, 21, 22 y 23 de la Revista de Matemáticas Aplicadas, cada
uno con dos números. Actualmente se está editando
el volumen 24 número 1. La revista está abocada a
la teoría y técnicas de la Matemática Aplicada,
sus aplicaciones a la Matemática y al desarrollo de nuevas
teorías y sus potenciales aplicaciones. Además nosotros
estamos especialmente interesados en publicar artículos state-of-arts
y números especiales serán enfocados directamente
a una área particular de aplicaciones. Por otra parte, los
artículos sometidos a publicación, deberían
estar escritos preferentemente en Inglés y tipeados en Tex.
Cada artículo debería incluir un Abstract en Inglés,
si estuvieran escritos en Francés o Español, una lista
de Palabras Claves y su respectiva Clasificación AMS, y deberían
enviarse al Editor de la Revista. La revista es difundida a centros
de matemáticas del pais, América Latina y Europa.
Algunos de los números distribuídos corresponden a
suscripción, otros a intercambio y otros a donación.
Los resúmenes de los artículos publicados en nuestra
revista son publicados en ''Zentralblatt für Mathematik'',
Current Mathematical Publications y por ''Mathematical Reviews''.

Paris VI Editorial Policy The journal is devoted to the theory and
techniques of Applied Mathematics, to applications of Mathematics
and to the development of new theories with potential applications.
We are specially interested in publishing state-of-art papers and
special issues will be devoted to a particular field of application. Manuscripts Papers submitted for publication should be
written preferently in English and typed in word processor Tex.
Each paper should contain an Abstract with an English version, a
list of Key Words and the AMS Classification. Offprints 20 offprints of each article will be provided
to the first-named author of each paper. Subscriptions The subscription price for volume (2 numbers) is US$40 and the orders must be sent to the Editor.
